Green Skills Bootcamp - Electrical Engineering (Level 4)

Overview

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and be ready for an interview with an employer.

Skills Bootcamps – part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life.

This course is suitable for those with an interest or working in electrical engineering who want to develop to a higher level and would like to study at level 4 to develop your career opportunities or progress onto a full/part-time HNC Electrical Engineering course.

 

Am I Ready?

Skills Bootcamps are open to all adults aged 19 or over, who are full-time or part-time employed, self-employed, unemployed (i.e., not in work), as well as adults returning to work after a break.

 

Course Details

The Electrical Engineering Skills Bootcamp will teach you the fundamentals of electrical engineering, power engineering and associated mathematics. It is an ideal first step for those who want to progress in the electrical engineering industry and provides a platform for further study or training.

• Managing a Professional Engineering Project
• Electrical Principles
• Automation, Robotics and PLC
• Digital Principles
• Electrical Machines

Assessment

In order to successfully achieve the course a learner must fully meet all of the learning outcomes. This will be met by internal assessment work.

Your Next Steps

Learners may progress onto our full-time courses in electrical engineering or automotive maintenance.
