Travel and Tourism

Our Travel & Tourism courses strive to offer a great combination of taught lessons and practical training, either in our full-scale replica aircraft – Grantham Air – including baggage handling, check-in and security area, or through our industry-linked external visits.

In 2022, some of our Travel & Tourism students were able to visit Malta on a work experience placement. They gained valuable experience working in resorts all over the Mediterranean island, delivering first-class customer service in real-life situations.

In the past, visits have also been made to the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham, Belton House, Lincoln Castle, London, Alton Towers and Aerozone at East Midlands Airport. All of our visits are linked to the curriculum and ensuring students are as employable as possible.

Students learn from professional tutors who each possess a deep knowledge of the ever-growing travel industry. 

Grantham College also has an excellent network of professional contacts, including travel agents, hotels and airlines. Working closely with these means you can gain an even greater understanding of what it is like to work in this busy and exciting industry.
