English and Maths

It’s never too late to get your vital English and maths qualifications.

Our maths and English courses are designed for adults who haven’t got a GCSE (or equivalent) in one or both of these subjects.

GCSE maths and English courses are free. We also offer a choice of study options – in a classroom or online.

In today’s competitive job market these qualifications are often needed. So whether you want to boost your job prospects, dream of studying at university, or simply want to say that you have a level 2 qualification in both maths and English our courses are for you.

GCSE English

This is a core qualification required by both employers and Higher Education. You will improve the fluency and accuracy of your own written expression and will develop communication skills that you will need to use in a variety of ways throughout your life. Students will build reading, writing and verbal skills for effective communication in the real world.

GCSE Maths

This course is designed to enable you to achieve a core GCSE qualification. The main topic areas covered are number, algebra, ratio, probability, statistics and geometry. We follow the AQA Exam Board Linear Course, with three external exams in June. The exams will be equally weighted; one exam paper will be non-calculator based and the other two will be calculator based.
