Our Sport courses combine practical training with industry knowledge to help you build the skills needed for a successful future in sport, fitness and coaching. You’ll learn in specialist facilities, including our dedicated gym, sports hall and state-of-the-art strength and conditioning suite, while gaining valuable experience through trips, work placements and real-world activities.

Whether you plan to progress to higher education at Grantham College, university or move directly into employment, our courses provide a strong foundation for a career in the sport and leisure industry.

Alongside the qualification there are opportunities to become a member of the Table Tennis Academy

Alongside studying a course at Grantham College you can also be a part of our world-renowned Table Tennis Academy.

Grantham College launched the Table Tennis Academy in September 2002. This initiative, the first in the UK, allows both local, national and international players to take advantage of a variety of specialist training facilities at the college to improve their level of play and help them to reach their full potential within the game.

The college benefits from some fantastic facilities including a large sports hall with specialist flooring, in which the table tennis coaching takes place.

If you apply to the Table Tennis Academy, you must be at least 16 years of age at the start of your course. Your Table Tennis level will be analysed on an individual basis. You will be invited to an interview where you will play in one of the sessions and we will require a reference from your coach so we can ensure we provide you with the best programme for your needs.
