Hairdressing

If you have an interest in fashion and hair then hairdressing could be the career for you.

You will receive hands on experience, working first on model heads, followed by real clients. We cover a variety of units from Health & Safety through to creating & maintaining retail displays. You will learn how to carry out consultations, blow drying techniques, setting and dressing hair plus much more.

You may also take part in competitions and receive training from the likes of Balmain.

“Hairdressing wasn’t something I wanted to do from the beginning. I started working for Scots Hair Design on Saturdays and decided I really enjoyed it. This then gave me the opportunity to start an apprenticeship with them, so I could progress in my career and gain a qualification at the same time. I would really recommend this course to other students. You have to be ready to work hard, stand for long periods at a time and work long hours, but the end result is worth it. I am looking forward to progressing to the Level 3, my future aspirations would be to do session work at shows at events such as London Fashion Week.” Jess
