Grantham College has successfully supported Electively Home Education for several years. We work with parents/carers and local authorities to provide basic education, on a part time basis, to support the learning provided at home.
We work with electively home educated students to ensure that every student is enrolled to a programme that offers the most appropriate educational pathway and support balancing the diverse needs of the whole home educated community including those young people who come to home education when school hasn’t been a successful learning environment.
To access our study programmes, students must be equivalent in age to school Year 11 (15 to 16 years old) and must be registered as EHE with their local authority.
Most of our EHE students study English and maths alongside a short vocational qualification to give them an insight into the world of work or further education.
