Having spent over sixteen years working within the creative industry and over six years working in education as an Interactive Media Lecturer and Graphic Design Lecturer, I have a solid understanding of the creative process of visual communication. Before starting a career as a Graphic Designer in further education, I worked for around twelve years directly in the graphic design industry. From working within education delivering creative education content, I have further developed my contextual understanding of design principles and applications. Evolving a multidisciplinary approach to solving creative problems is a result of my prior experience in design; I have kept my design skills relevant by practising as a multidisciplinary creative, specialising in various creative processes while working as an educator. I am versed in visual communication through graphic design knowledge. Videography and video editing, which I have obtained from working in education. Similarly, I have developed an understanding of animation and motion graphics from education, which I have now applied in my creative practice. Web Design is an innovative application I adopted from my independent creative business, enhanced by my understanding of it from delivering it in education. Being a multidisciplinary creative, I am experienced in visual storytelling and communicating with an audience.
