

During her visit, Shelagh met with Paul Deane, Principal and Chief Executive, and Chris Turner, Chair of the Corporation. She also toured several areas of the College, including the Engineering and Automotive department, gaining insight into the College’s provision and learning environment.
In her role as FE Commissioner until January 2026, Shelagh works closely with local authorities and further education providers across the UK to improve the quality of education for learners, strengthen financial resilience, enhance leadership, and reduce the risk of intervention.
