Grantham College is pleased to announce the launch of its first Move and Mind Project sessions, following the recent award of funding from Sport England’s Movement Fund.
The project, which aims to support both physical activity and mental wellbeing in the local community, has now begun delivery with a series of free weekly yoga sessions at Grantham House.
The sessions include Chair Yoga, designed as a gentle and accessible option using a chair for support, and Hatha Yoga, a slow and relaxing form of yoga focused on movement and breathing. Together, these sessions provide inclusive opportunities for adults of different abilities to take part in physical activity in a welcoming environment.
Taking place every Monday from 1 June to 27 July, the sessions are already generating interest, with places limited to ensure a supportive and comfortable group setting.
The project has been made possible thanks to funding from Sport England, supported by National Lottery players. This funding enables the college to offer free activities that help remove barriers to participation and encourage healthier, more active lifestyles.
Places for the sessions are limited and must be booked in advance.
