Harley said, “On my first day, I visited the operational planning room. It was really interesting seeing how flights are planned, the timetable for each one, and all the safety checks they have to do.”
He also got to explore one of the most iconic parts of the base. “My favourite part was visiting the Red Arrows Aerobatic Team hangar. I got to talk to the engineers and mechanics working on the aircraft and find out what they do. I even got to sit in a Hawk T1 Red Arrows jet that used to be used in their displays.”
To finish off the week, Harley spent time with the fitness and regiment teams. “On my final day, I watched some fitness tests in the gym with the PT instructors, then headed over to the RAF Regiment to see a first aid and car‑searching drill they were practising.”
