For students interested in Higher Education courses, there may be financial support to ensure you can study alongside other responsibilities and commitments, without the added concern of financial pressures.
You can apply directly to Student Finance England for both a Tuition Fee Loan and a Maintenance Loan.
You may submit your application even if your place on the course has not yet been confirmed.
Applications can be completed online via Student Finance England at: www.gov.uk/apply-online-for-student-finance.
Please refer to their website for further information.
If you are studying an eligible Higher Education course and are unsuccessful with your Maintenance Loan application, this support may help with childcare costs, essential course materials or books, and transport or travel costs.
We have a duty of care to ensure bursary support is distributed fairly to ALL eligible students and limits to the total amount awarded are in place to enable us to do this.
If you are enrolling on a higher education course at Grantham College and have a disability or learning difficulty, then you may be eligible to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).
DSA is a grant that pays for extra study-related costs that arise as a direct result of a student’s disability. This could include a long-term health condition, mental health condition, autism spectrum condition or specific learning difference such as dyslexia. You will need evidence of your diagnosis to apply for DSA.
Applications can be completed online via Student Finance England, or you can download an application form.
Grantham College is a supplier of Non-Medical Help (NMH) for students receiving DSA. For more information, please email enquiry@grantham.ac.uk or call 01476 400200
