Designed for learners aged 16+, this hands-on qualification gives you all the skills and knowledge you need to kick-start your career and work in the beauty industry.
Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview.
This vocational qualification covers everything you need to become a skilled beauty massage therapist, with mandatory units including:
You’ll dive deep into anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and the best products for massage treatments. As you progress, you’ll build technical skills to offer a variety of relaxing massages using different techniques, while also honing your interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients. Get ready to master the art of massage therapy!
Assessment for this course is a mix of practical assessments, exams, and written assignments.
Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.
Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government.
Advanced Learning Loan to help with college fees on applicable course. Students won’t have to pay anything back until the end of their course and are earning £27,295 per year. Household income isn’t taken into account and there’s no credit check. Eligibility is dependent on course, nationality, and age to meet the ESFA funding eligibility criteria.

You’ll also have to complete 30 hours of work experience— building valuable skills and a strong portfolio.
This qualification is built on the Beauty Therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading professional association, BABTAC, ensuring you’re fully prepared for a career as a beauty massage therapist.
Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance, setting you up for success in the industry.
