This course is suitable for anyone with a general interest in plastering and want to use the skills for their own benefit or for those who are wanting to re-train and go back into education and progress into becoming a trade professional.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Modules studied include:
• Introduction to health and safety in construction.
• Preparing background surfaces and applying render coats And a choice of another unit from:
• Preparing background surfaces and applying finishing coats
• Mixing materials and applying floating coats
• Producing components from moulds
You'll be assessed via assignments and observations.
Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £25,750 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government. This does not affect your rights under Consumer Law.

As a prerequisite to enrolling to this course students must enrol to RGA10222 CL Introduction to Plastering first.
It is advisable to wear long trousers for this course.
This course is funded by Lincolnshire County Council.
Level 1 diploma in Brickwork or Carpentry and Joinery or any other short courses on offer in plastering or similar subjects.
