This course is suitable for anyone with a general interest in plumbing and want to use the skills for their own benefit or for those who are wanting to re-train and go back into education and progress into becoming a trade professional.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
Course content:
• Introduction to health and safety in construction.
• Removing and refitting water-filled radiators
• Working with non-manipulative fittings And a choice of another unit from:
• Bending and jointing copper pipes
• Connecting pipes and fittings to appliances
• Constructing combined frames
• Installing rain water goods
• Working with low carbon steel pipes and fittings
Assignment and observation
Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £25,750 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government. This does not affect your rights under Consumer Law.

Some materials and tools may need to be purchased in order to complete the course. As a prerequisite to enrolling to this course students must enrol to RGA10610 CL Introduction to Plumbing first.
It is advisable to wear long trousers for ths course.
This course is funded by Lincolnshire County Council.
You can progress on to Level 1 diploma in Brickwork or Carpentry and Joinery or any other short courses on offer in plumbing or similar subjects
