T Levels are designed to deliver world-class technical education and give you a new choice after GCSEs. The Media T level has been designed with leading businesses and employers in the media industry and gives you:
5 GCSE qualifications at Grade 4 and above including Maths and English, this may also include a vocational Ext Cert or Diploma award Distinction at level 2
Previous study in a media subject is not a requirement; however, you should have an interest in the media sector and be prepared to discuss this further at interview
Acceptance onto the course will be subject to meeting further criteria during the enrolment interview, including work placement commitments.
Throughout this course you will study a range of topics, including Film production, Advertising, Documentary, Visual effects, Motion Graphics and Photography.
Year 1:
1. Core knowledge and understanding of contexts, concepts and theories
Employer Set Project: A project set by media employers that requires you to apply your knowledge to a real-life problem in the industry.
Industry Placement: You will have the opportunity to put the knowledge and skills you have learned in to action as you start your industry placement. You will work with an external media industry employer to apply your knowledge and develop your technical skills in a real-life media workplace.
Year 2:
1. Occupational Specialism in content creation and Production
2. Continuing your industry placement: You will continue to hone the knowledge and skills in the workplace.

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.
Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government.
