NCFE Cache Certificate Health and Social Care (Level 2)

Overview

This qualification aims to provide learners with a range of knowledge and understanding across key subject areas relevant for the health and social care sectors.

Am I Ready?

4 GCSE grade 3 and above.

 

You will also need to undertake a DBS check once you enrol.

Course Details

Modules of study to include a range from.

  • Equality, diversity and rights in the health and social care
  • Safeguarding and protection in health and social care
  • Communication in health and social care
  • Working in health and social care
  • Creative activities in health and social care

Students will undertake one week of sector related work experience.

Assessment

Assessment will be through written assignments.

Fees & Funding

Sixteen / Eighteen

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.

Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government.

Low Income / Unemployed Seeking Work

Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £25,750 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government. This does not affect your rights under Consumer Law.

Your Next Steps

To progress to level 3 T level Health will need to have passed the course and attained required grades in Maths and English.

Alternatively, you could move on to apprenticeships or other work training provisions.
