MIS Business Administrator – FIXED TERM UNTIL October 2026

Salary: This is a full time role with an actual salary of up to £21,790 per annum dependant on skills and experience.

Working Hours: 33 hours per week over 4 days, working one in four Fridays, 52 weeks per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MIS Business Administrator to join our Exams and Registry department.

The purpose of the role is to provide support and administrative support to all areas in the Registry that supports functions of the MIS team including Exams, Timetabling and other functions as required

The roles main duties include:

  • To prepare and check data in preparation for funding returns for Tailored Learning. Ensure that supporting evidence is available for audit in respect of student enrolments, attendance and achievement.
  • Be responsible for the issue of registers and the processing of timetable information both manually and electronically for Tailored Learning and other provision.
  • Assist in monitoring the Business Support inbox.
  • Monitor register notes and learners that are manually added to the registers. Action or request further information where appropriate.
  • Run data checking reports on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assist with the administration of distance learning enrolments, maintaining records, and checking enrolment data.
  • Assist with issuing registers and timetabling.
  • Provide general administrative support where required.
  • Be responsible for monitoring and maintaining student records that are linked to the government Learner Record Service.
  • Support the full-time and part-time enrolment processes as required.
  • Enter, retrieve and update data accurately using the Grantham College computer systems.
  • Support with other duties across the MIS and exams departments, as required.
  • Document standard operating procedures

This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Regulated activity includes teaching, instructing, caring for or supervising children if the person is unsupervised.

Grantham College operate a 4-day working week. Staff benefit from working a full-time contract over four days. You will work core hours of Monday to Thursday, working a Friday morning once a month.
