Salary: This is a part time role with an actual salary of up to £12,805.50 per annum, and a full-time equivalent salary of up to £25,611 per annum.

Working Hours: 16.5 hours per week over 4 days, working one in four Fridays, 52 weeks per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a management administrator to join our executive and secretarial department.

The purpose of the role is to provide an effective administrative service for the Senior Leadership Team. Provide a professional service at all times, managing consistency with administration across the College

The successful applicant must have:

  • The ability to demonstrate a strong written and oral communications skills
  • Good spelling, grammar, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • The ability to build relationships, particularly with those in leadership and management positions
  • The ability to present information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Creative, problem-solver, innovative and flexible
  • The ability to be highly motivated, organised who can work effectively with minimal supervision, but who also enjoys being in a team environment
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and time management skills, plus ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities
  • High levels of integrity and discretion
  • Strong regard for confidentiality and the sensitive nature of the data processed
  • The ability to demonstrate flexibility

The roles main duties include:

  • Providing a comprehensive administration support service for the Executive College Management team in order for them to effectively carry out their duties, meet deadlines and comply with college policy and procedures, including arranging meetings and performance reviews.
  • Providing support for the apprenticeship quality requirements and be responsible for all apprenticeship administration in order to improve the quality of the apprenticeship provision.
  • Arranging and minute meetings as appropriate and ensure a consistent approach across college.
  • Managing the college’s Praise and Complaints procedure and ensure complaints are managed within the specified period.
  • Supporting with the management teams with the onboarding process with new college staff.
  • Scheduling, organising and supporting with duties carried out by the Vice Principals. This will include working with Heads of Curriculum, Curriculum Leaders and Assessors to collate or gather data.
  • Supporting the wider College Management team with duties as and when required, for example general administration and college events.
  • Carrying out all duties professionally with the highest level of confidentiality.

This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Regulated activity includes teaching, instructing, caring for or supervising children if the person is unsupervised.

Grantham College operate a 4-day working week. Staff benefit from a reduction in working hours with full pay. You will work core hours (based on a full-time equivalent contract) of Monday to Thursday, working a Friday morning once a month.

The number of staff sickness absence days has reduced alongside the energy usage for the college and therefore its carbon emissions.
