Bank Examination Invigilator

Salary: hourly paid, £11.72 Per hour Plus Holiday Pay.

Working Hours: Casual Zero Hour, Contract can accommodate preferences for days to work.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Exam Invigilator to join our Exams department.

The purpose of the role is to invigilate Exams.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Flexible availability

  • Good IT Skills
  • Previous experience of working with children or young adults

The roles main duties include:

  • Invigilating a range of Examinations at Grantham College and / or its satellites.
  • Invigilating examinations and assessments in accordance with procedures set down by the Examination Boards, The JCQ and as instructed by the Examinations Team.
  • Checking and preparing examination rooms, distributing and collating examination papers, briefing candidates with all the necessary information, including making announcements and reading out notices, and completing of all the related paperwork.
  • Supervising students during examinations and, on occasions, before and after examinations.
  • Being alert throughout the examination, remaining vigilant for any instances of malpractice, and being able to respond appropriately to any candidate issues/problems recording and reporting as necessary.

This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Regulated activity includes teaching, instructing, caring for or supervising children if the person is unsupervised.
