“We think the training was excellent and there were a lot of useful techniques that were covered. The structure of the course was very helpful. We found the different sections let into one another nicely and felt the course was enjoyable, and professionally delivered with all raised topics considered and explained. Feedback from our staff has been great, and tutor John Pope was brilliant, he made things easy to understand and we all enjoyed learning more about Excel. We are giving him 10 out of 10. We can definitely recommend Grantham College! Thank you again and if we do have any further training needs, I will be sure to get in touch! ”

“I started my Access to HE (Healthcare) Diploma at Grantham College during my maternity leave in 2018. The Access course helped me to widen my knowledge, structure essays, understand and apply referencing and prepare my for university application and interviews. I was successful on my first cycle of applying for Midwifery at Lincoln university. I have now completed my degree to a First Class honours during the most difficult few years of Covid and a family move three hours away to the North west coast. I now have a full time job as a Midwife working within Lancashire. My future aspirations lead me towards lecturing and research.”

“I completed the Access to HE (Humanities & Social Science) Diploma in June 2019 and it was the stepping stone needed to go from being away from education for more than 20 years to starting a history degree in September 2019. The Access Diploma gave me the foundation needed to step back into studying, helping me to plan and organise my time around two children and deadlines as well as integrating me into a classroom and learning environment. My three years at Nottingham Trent University was fantastic (despite the Covid pandemic!) particularly being immersed in a subject I love, with lecturers who were experts in their fields of study. I studied aspects of history that I would never have thought I would be interested in but it gave me a deep appreciation for research and discourse. Next year I have been accepted onto the MA course for history, so I am looking forward to continuing my intellectual journey. Ultimately, I would like to work within a museum or an historic environment passing on my enthusiasm to others.”

“Hairdressing wasn’t something I wanted to do from the beginning. I started working for Scots Hair Design on Saturdays and decided I really enjoyed it. This then gave me the opportunity to start an apprenticeship with them, so I could progress in my career and gain a qualification at the same time. I would really recommend this course to other students. You have to be ready to work hard, stand for long periods at a time and work long hours, but the end result is worth it. I am looking forward to progressing to the Level 3, my future aspirations would be to do session work at shows at events such as London Fashion Week.”

“Excellent tutoring and support at all times throughout the course, even though it is just ‘part time’. Safe and comfortable environment with a mix of modern and older equipment, which is more realistic to what you would find in real industry.”

“I recommend the HNC/HND Arts Practice course to other students as it is very independent, and you are treated like an adult. Grantham College has helped me understand what I have to do to get the grades I want and have helped me with my dyslexia. You can work at your own pace, choose the direction and outcome you want. The course is very diverse, and you get a lot of group opinions and ideas.”

“I love the Foundation Course at Grantham college. I love how well we work together to achieve our aspirations, share our experiences and collectively think together to shed some light from all different backgrounds. The course is a fantastic starting point allowing us to gain experience whilst gaining further knowledge to improve on our practice.”
