Visual arts students enjoy creative trip

Art & Design students explore different methods to get creative on their annual trip to Cumbria

Art and Design students from Higher Education and Foundation levels were joined by Level 3 BTEC Photography students as they packed their bags and travelled all the way to Keswick, Cumbria to attend their annual residential trip.

The main aim was to enable students to become more independent and to participate in a range of practical and theory based activities. Team building forms a major part of the visit with students working together to build structures and explore night photography.

The trip consisted of many team building activities, practical workshop, night drawing, research for current projects and photography. With the upcoming House of Light project in collaboration with National Trust at Woolsthorpe Manor the students were also able to utilize the time to refine their ideas.

This is just one of the many exciting trips and excursions that our Art & Design students have been able to take part in.
