Grantham College Higher Education courses receive nationally recognised quality mark.
A team from QAA (The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education) visited the college confirming that academic standards within the college all meet UK expectations for it's university level courses.
Following the recent intensive review of Grantham College HE courses, the QAA found several areas of good practice in;
- The college's approach to widening participation in Higher Education and admissions processes
- The comprehensive and personalised academic pastoral support provided to all Higher Education students
- The effective management of partnerships with employers that enhance the student learning experience.
Paul Deane, Acting Principal and Deputy Chief Executive said "this is a great achievement for Grantham College and I am delighted for our staff and students as it is a true recognition of their dedication and hard work"
"We already knew how highly our students value Higher Education at Grantham College from our one hundred percent satisfaction rating in the last National Student survey. As QAA are the guardians of quality in Higher Education in the UK, these results confirm that we meet the most rigorous of standards. It is particularly encouraging to note that QAA highlights three areas of good practice as these are the very things that make Grantham College such an excellent place to study Higher Education"
-Lydia Spenceley, Curriculum Manager for HE said;
"We are delighted to have received confirmation that our HE courses are university standard. As a College we are proud of our staff, all of whom are committed to working with our employers, apprentices and students to develop Higher Education opportunities for the local community"
