Students gain real-world experience working in resorts on the island
Seven of our Travel and Tourism students have returned from an eye-opening two-week Erasmus placement in Malta.
The group, led by tutors Renee Bellamy and Polly Atkinson, spent time working in hotels in resorts such as Msida and Sliema on the Mediterranean island.
The students were also afforded free time to go and explore, leading to many happy faces upon returning to Grantham.
Renee said of the placement: “It was great. The students became independent on the trip.”
Student Greta Rapceviciute fell in love with Malta, adding: “I want to move there. There’s a lot of positive people and it’s so colourful.”
