Access to HE student to advance to Nottingham Trent to study History
After delaying university for several years, Lynn Marriott returned to education to realise her dream of studying History.
Lynn, who is on the Access to Higher Education (Humanities) course at Grantham College, is set to begin her new chapter at Nottingham Trent University in September.
After being told her A-Levels would not be accepted for entry to university, Lynn got in contact with Grantham College.
She has since thrived on her Access course, which has allowed her to study a range of subjects in preparation for university.
“I never lost my interest in history, but there was always that desire to move on,” Lynn said.
Lynn also spoke highly about the tutors who have helped her throughout the university application process.
“The tutors have been fantastic, they know their subjects inside out,” she said.
“Their help on the personal statement was absolutely brilliant.”
