Learning Development students celebrate their achievements at Hawaiian themed prom

Students let their hair down at end of year prom.

Over 100 guests enjoyed the Learning Development prom which was Hawaiian Beach Party themed. Staff, students and parents were among the guests and all had a truly enjoyable evening.

The College Refectory was transformed into a Hawaiian Luau with handmade decorations made by the students, staff and clients of the Learning Development Centre and Day Break. Public Services students were also on hand to welcome the arriving guests.

Certificates of achievement were handed out followed by the highlight of the evening, which was a moving recital of Any Dream will Do performed by a group of Performing Arts and Learning Development students. The celebratory evening also had a selfie booth for guests to take fun photographs, a buffet and a disco throughout.

Learning Development Curriculum Manager, Lisa Smith said: "It was truly an incredible and an inspirational evening. Thanks to the staff in the Learning Development department and Day Break who worked tirelessly for the last year to give the students a night to remember."
