Grantham College welcomes students from Poland for work experience as part of the Erasmus Scheme

Ten students from the South of Poland resided in Grantham College’s Accommodation Halls while doing their work experience at the Urban Hotel. They were able to gain valuable, real life experience in all areas of the hotel including the restaurant, housekeeping and reception all while discovering the local culture.

The students were chosen based on their academic performance and are all studying courses related to Tourism and Hospitality.

“It was a great experience for all of us as some of us have never worked in a hotel environment. It was interesting to discover the difference in culture here in the UK compared to Poland. It was a once in a life time experience and we learnt many skills that we can use in the future,” Aleksqndre Mqrek.

Grantham College students have also had the opportunity to partake in work experience abroad in the past few years and can expect more opportunities in the future as the college has been awarded over €400,000 in EU funding.
