Grantham College’s day centre for young adults, Day Break receive £200 cheque from Asda

Manager of Day Break, Sarah Done decided to apply for the Green Token Giving scheme with Asda in hopes to receive money towards the day centre.

Day Break is located in Grantham College’s Learning Development Centre and is a quality and personalised day centre offering a wide variety of leisure activities for young adults with learning and/or physical disabilities.

“Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference, which is what inspired me to contact Asda for their help to raise money. We were fortunate to receive £200 and this will go towards purchasing resources to enhance social skills for young adults with learning difficulties within our community,” says Sarah.

Every year, Asda invests over £1.2 million in over 5,000 charities and good causes throughout the UK. Out of many that applied, Day Break alongside two other local causes were chosen by Grantham Asda allowing the local people to vote for local charities and local causes.
