Grantham College raises some dough for Macmillan Coffee Morning

Grantham College staff pull together to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Friday 28thSeptember saw Grantham College’s staff come together to help raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning. Following on from a jam-packed talk from Tanya Taylor to our students regarding fundraising for Macmillan, we’ve kicked off our fundraising efforts with a coffee and cake sale!

Among the delicious treats bought in by members of staff included gooey chocolate brownies, a gluten free chocolate and honeycomb cake, pink iced vanilla cupcakes, a carrot cake as well as some bright yellow and pink shortbread biscuits.

All these goodies went down an absolute treat to both people passing by and those in offices; as Marketing Manager Jasmine Abeysekera manned the stall – Graphic Designer Chelsea Toulson and Marketing Assistant Hannah Ryan delivered cake around the offices and classrooms.

The world’s biggest coffee morning was a huge success as we raised £90 for a great cause. We hope to raise even more for Macmillan as we now turn to the subject involved in our Macmillan talk to join our fundraising activities.
