Our creative students were able to leave the muggle world behind and take a step into the wizarding word during their Harry Potter Experience at Warner Brothers Studios, Watford.
The experience started off with a unique walking tour showcasing authentic sets, costumes and props. The students were also given a sneak peek into the special effects and artistry that went into the making of the Harry Potter films. After the tour, students were able to research the many creative careers at the film studio and discover visual recording and mixed media techniques. Some of the students also took part in a taster workshop within the costume department.
Warner Bros. Studios, Watford is one of the only few places in the United Kingdom where large scale film productions can be made and where most of the famous Harry Potter scenes have been shot. During their visit students were also fortunate to witness the shooting of Fantastic Beasts 2.
This is just one of the many exciting trips and excursions that our Art & Design students have been able to take part in. If this sounds like something you’d like to take part in, come and speak to us at our next open day on December 2nd at 10.30am.
