A handy guide to ensuring that you have the ultimate Christmas knit for Christmas Jumper Day. 🎅
Day two of GC Christmas kicks off with a handy guide for the upcoming Christmas Jumper Day!
Christmas Jumper Day is nearing and it is of course a staple in the British Calendar within the festive period. Dedicated to the charity ‘Save the Children’, one Friday in December we ditch our usual uniform/work/home clothes for a lovely Christmas jumper.
With Christmas jumper day being the 14thDecember, we thought we’d give you some last-minute tips on how to have the most outrageous and over the top Christmas jumper you’ve ever seen. Oh and of course, don’t forget to donate your £1 for this fantastic charity.
1) Do D.I.Y an old jumper
Of course, you can always go the shop to buy a lovely new Christmas jumper. But if you don’t have the time or the money then why not D.I.Y your jumper. Grab an old jumper, add some tinsel, Christmas sparkly lights and baubles and you’ll have yourself the most over the top yet festive jumper of them all.
2) Include a Christmas pun
Many of the Christmas jumpers this year feature an embarrassingly funny Christmas pun that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. However, do think about where you work so you don’t have an inappropriate jumper – awkward.
3) Don’t be afraid to be bold!
Christmas jumper day is not a day to dull down your wardrobe. Christmas Jumper Day is a day to embrace the most tacky, loud and original Christmas Jumper going! Don’t be afraid of bold colours, clashing patterns and of course a jumper that sings the tune to Jingle Bells.
4) Embrace everything Christmas!
Seen as you’re already in the festive mood, why not take it that one step further and embrace all things Christmas. Grab your Santa hat, elf boots or even your reindeer antlers and no one can accuse you of being a bah humbug!
5) Remember it is for Charity
Christmas Jumper Day may be about embracing festivities and the fun of Christmas but remember that it is also a day for Charity. Christmas Jumper Day is held to raise money for Save the Children. So even if you donate just £1, make sure you raise some money for this great cause!
Happy Christmas Jumper Day on Friday everyone - we hope it is filled with festivities!
