An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ILM Team Leading /Business Lecturer to join our Business, Public Services, Sport, Travel and Academies Curriculum Manager department. This role is 7.4 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

The purpose of the role is to demonstrate a high quality of professional practice and provide quality teaching and learning at a variety of levels. Devise action plans and maintain appropriate records. 

The successful applicant must have:

  • A degree in Business or related subject.

  • Teaching experience at level 2 and 3 on ILM Team Leading courses.

  • Very good IT skills.

  • Effective use of ILT to promote learning / add variety to lessons.

  • The ability to motivate students and communicate effectively with them at all levels.

 

The roles main duties include:

  • To teach, using an appropriate mix of traditional, e-learning and blended learning approaches, on a range of courses across the area.

  • To provide support and guidance to students.

  • To carry out administrative duties associated with teaching, including maintenance of registers, schemes of work, assessments, reports, course records and course evaluations to a satisfactory standard and within established deadlines.

  • To provide such returns or reports as may from time to time be required by the Curriculum Manager or the College.

  • To assist in the recruitment of students, including interviewing and enrolments.
