An exciting opportunity has arisen for Head of Marketing and Business Development to join our Marketing and Business Development department.

The purpose of the role is to lead the Marketing & Business Development functions ensuring that the Marketing and Business development team, strategy & operational plans support the delivery of the college's Strategic Objectives.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Qualifications to a degree level or relevant qualification

  • A minimum of at least 3 years professional employment in a marketing, business development, PR or communications role

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with staff at all levels

  • Capacity for innovative and creative thinking

  • Ability to lead and collaborate as part of a team

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

     

    The roles main duties include:

  • To develop and implement a successful marketing strategy for the college, which complements the overarching strategic plan and employer engagement strategy, in order to generate income and maximise learner numbers.

  • To work with relevant colleagues to develop, implement and review relevant paperwork, processes and systems across employer responsive provision.

  • To line manage the Employer Engagement Manager, marketing team and support business advisers, ensuring an effective and responsive employer service whilst meeting regulatory requirements.

  • To lead on the creation and planning and delivery of internal and external communications and public relation supporting all of the colleges income streams. Contributing ideas, data and statistical information which support the development and monitoring of marketing, communications and student engagement plans.

  • To work with and alongside colleagues from across the college to plan, develop and significantly increase social media traffic and output to increase engagement.

  • To lead on the production of high quality and student focused promotional material ensuring the college brand is prevalent on all promotional material. Ensuring all information across all advertising mediums is relevant, up-to-date and engaging.
