We all know how amazing apprenticeships can be, but we want you to hear it from our own apprentices
Meet Dziugas! “I enjoy this apprenticeship because I like how I don’t have to do other subjects and focus on the subject I am interested in, whilst also getting paid for it! Plus, I really enjoy attending college once a week where I am surrounded by kind and supportive people.”

Hear from our catering apprentices about their thoughts on our program!
“Learning from peers and colleagues at work is easier compared to a formal classroom – a lot more relaxed environment and learning from experienced peers.” – Tyler Wright
“I enjoy the apprenticeship because I find it interesting doing mainly practical work and earning money at the same time. I also like learning from chefs I work with and using different methods.” – Jack Southerington

Here’s what our automotive apprentices have to share about their experience with us:
“I enjoys the opportunity to try out new skills at college and then apply them in the work environment.” – Macaulay
“I enjoy my course and I like to earn while I learn, I have learnt so much since starting with my employer as an apprentice.” – Ben

Kerren is currently studying the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, and works and studies with us at Grantham College & University Centre. As an essential team member, she assists our Curriculum Heads with their administrative needs.
Kerren shared, “I previously studied a degree at university but ultimately decided that it didn’t suit my needs. My apprenticeship offers me to opportunity to gain valuable work experience and skills whilst gaining my qualification and earning a wage.”
“I’ve already learnt a lot, such as the rules and regulations that businesses must follow, the importance of health and safety and having proper procedures in place, and how to use a variety of different IT packages. My weekly classes give me an opportunity to connect with other Business Apprentices in the local area, and we share with each other best practices and other things we are learning at our employers.
“I’m 21 and when I was in secondary school, apprenticeships – as they are today – were still quite new. I thought my only option was university, but since starting my apprenticeship I know that this was the right choice for me. I can see exactly how everything I learn and do contributes to my development as a working professional. Working at the college has given me a unique insight into the inner workings of an education institution, which I know will be incredibly useful going forward in my career. My workdays are varied, with each day bringing new challenges and triumphs.”
