National Apprenticeship Week 2025

We’re proud to be supporting NAW 2025!

In its 18th year, we are proud to be supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2025 and shining a spotlight on this fantastic, hands-on qualification, which is an unmissable opportunity for students and employers alike.

Check out the daily themes for this year’s apprenticeship focus week!

Day 1 – Day of Launch

If you haven’t considered becoming an apprenticeship before, then now is the time!

What can an apprenticeship offer me?
  •  Hands-on and real-life experiences with local and reputable businesses
  •  Shadowing and learning from experienced professionals
  •  No student loan tying you down!
  •  Get paid whilst you learn
  •  Work your way up through a business, and learn about progression opportunities
  •  Finish your apprenticeship with the potential of a permanent job
  •  Develop strong connections in your chosen industry
  •  Learn new skills and put them to practice regularly
  •  Find out early in your career whether you enjoy your chosen industry day-to-day

Day 2 – Employer Tuesday

A crucial part of any apprenticeship is choosing the right employer.

As an employer, you can help an individual to kick start their career or progress to a higher level by sharing your expertise in the form of an apprenticeship.

Benefits to your business:

  • Allow you to recruit throughout the year
  • Grow your business
  • Increase profitability
  • Enable you to gain a competitive advantage
  • Improve employee retention

Day 3 – “We love Apprentice Wednesday”

Today, we proudly showcase our apprentices and what they think about studying an apprenticeship, here, at Grantham College.

Day 4 – T-Level Thursday

Would you prefer a more technical education when you come to College, rather than following a purely academic pathway, or a work-based apprenticeship?

T Levels are a 2-year qualification that you can do after GCSEs as an alternative to A levels, other post-16 courses or an apprenticeship.

They have been designed with leading businesses and employers to give you the knowledge and skills you need.

Day 5 – Celebration Achievement

Day 5 of National Apprenticeship Week and it’s #CelebrationFriday!

This past week has been filled with incredible stories of student achievements and the fantastic support from our employer partners.
