An exciting opportunity has arisen for SEND Lecturer to join our LDC team.

 

The purpose of the role is to demonstrate a high quality professional practice and provide quality teaching and learning at a variety of levels. Devise action plans and maintain appropriate records.

 

The successful applicant must have:

 

  • An understanding the changes taking place within SEND
  • Teaching qualification/QTS
  • Knowledge of assessment processes
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills
  • The ability to liaise with external agencies
  • Teaching people with a SEND within special school/mainstream/FE College
  • General experience of working with individuals with SEND difficulties

 

The roles main duties include:

 

  • Teaching, using an appropriate mix of traditional, e-learning and blended learning approaches on a range of subjects within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities area.
  • Taking responsibility for specific areas of work within the curriculum area.
  • Providing support and guidance to students.
  • Operating as an effective member of relevant course teams and to work closely with other tutors.
  • Carrying out administrative duties associated with teaching.
