Funded Courses

As a College Provider we are able to obtain a range of funding support for our employers. Funding available varies from year to year and is dependent on regulations and different funding types. Our Business Development Team can advise you on options available dependant on your training needs, type of learner and organisation.

We have access to Adult Education Budget funding and European Social Funding, to support the costs of a vast array of training courses for employers across all industries. From short courses, NVQ’s to bespoke training, we have options that would benefit our employer network.

Skills Support For Work Force

Grantham College has funding to support small and medium enterprises across Greater Lincolnshire to meet their training needs.

  Our skilled Business Advisers can support you in identifying workforce development needs and to access suitable training opportunities.  We are keen to listen

Leisure & Community Course

Grantham College and University Centre has launched an extensive range of CPD opportunities for employers and their workforce, through our portfolio of adult courses.

 We are offering Businesses from all sectors the opportunity to participate in one of our FREE industry focussed programmes, that cover anything from Graphic Design to Electrical Circuits.

 Alternatively, if you just fancy learning something new, want to take up a new hobby and meet like-minded people that share the same interests as you, why not try one of our Community Learning courses? From Crochet to Plastering, we have you covered!

Building Better Opportunities (BBO)

Grantham College is one of over 30 organisations across Greater Lincolnshire supporting individuals through the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project.  BBO is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF). 

Who is BBO for?

BBO is a fund to support individuals who are not in education or employment, and wish to return to or move closer to work or learning.  To be eligible for BBO funding, you must have the right to work in the UK, and meet one or more of the following criteria:

  •       Unemployed
  •       Economically inactive
  •       Over 15 and not in education, employment or training

What support is available through BBO?

On BBO, you will work with one of our Partnership Engagement Officers (PEO), who will support you throughout your time on the project.  Your PEO will:

  •  Carry out a detailed Needs Assessment to identify your career goals, training needs and barriers to achieving your goals
  •       Work with you to build a personal development plan to achieve your goals
  •       Provide one-to-one support to develop your skills and confidence
  •       Identify and support you to access relevant training opportunities
  •       Identify and support you to access relevant work experience or volunteering
  •       Support you to access and achieve your end goal

We have discretionary financial support available to support your development needs, which may include childcare costs or travel expenses.

English, Maths & Basic Skills

If you are are looking to upskill your workforce with key functional skills, Grantham College & University Centre can assist with this.
We also offer language courses for UK Nationals and Non-UK Nationals with settled status.
English & Maths
Our English and maths classes are free and available throughout the week at different times and locations. Classes are made up of like-minded adults in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. We can also offer remote learning to our students to fit around busy lifestyles and work commitments

English for Non-UK Nationals
Our ESOL (English as a Second or Other Language) classes are designed for those living in the UK but whose first language is not English but would like to improve their English Language skills for work, study or everyday life.

Bespoke Training

Grantham College & University Centre has extensive experience of working with organisations locally, regionally and nationally to develop and deliver high quality, cost effective, bespoke and tailored training courses.

We can create training activities that are specifically designed for your organisation, so why not talk to us about your requirements and see how we can create a bespoke programme for you.

Conferencing & Meetings

Take advantage of our conference facilities and meeting room hire, along with free parking at our campus. We offer a conferencing service that is ideal for meetings, lectures, training and workshops. As part of our conferencing offer, we can provide a range of hospitality services including breakfasts, refreshments, buffet or sit-down lunches and evening dining in our on-campus restaurant The Apple Tree

We offer hire of a range of classrooms, meeting rooms, IT suites and workshops which are ideal for many different requirements. Our classrooms, meeting rooms and IT suites are ideal for company training, away days and offer internet-connected PCs and projectors.
