Our Performing Arts courses will give you opportunities to develop and extend skills across the disciplines of acting, musical theatre and dance in our fully equipped, dedicated performing arts studio and rehearsal space. This is because the industry requires people to have knowledge and practical experience across the areas, thus equipping you with the necessary range of skills for further progression.
You’ll be taught by a team of staff who have a wealth of experience both on stage and behind the scenes. In addition, you’ll have access to a new touring rig, which includes sound and lighting, and editing software on the Macs.
Students will work towards an end-of-year show, which is performed at the Guildhall Arts Centre, as well as a Christmas pantomime attended by several hundred school children and a performance at the College Awards Ceremony.
Students will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Media department to craft short films and performances for camera.
If you are undecided about which subject to take, then our Creative Industries course could be the one for you. This course allows you to pick and choose which 3 subjects you would like to study from: art and design, performing arts, graphic design, photography and/or creative media, gaining good knowledge, skills and a certificate in each.
“The skills and knowledge I learned in the performing arts course, alongside all the amazing opportunities available, gave me the training I needed to continue pursuing it further. Consequently, I am now studying for a performing arts degree.” Millie Walpole
