Introduction to Laser Cutting and 3D Jigsaw Making (CL3)

Overview

This course is ideally for persons with little or no knowledge of cad\cam and an interest in 2D printing.  Using Autodesk AutoCad software, you will generate a 2D CAD drawing of your puzzle and exporting this via DXF file format to “Lotus” software to cut and engrave design onto an acrylic sheet.

Interest in the subject and a good level of I.T Literacy

Course Details

The learner will be able to draw and edit a basic 2D object drawing using industrial recognised software and export to a laser cutter, to “printing out” the design.

Assessment

To complete a basic cad\cam (computer aided drafting/manufacture) 3D puzzle design and print out our laser cutter.
