This course is an advanced qualification which focuses on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills in the hairdressing industry. It is designed to deliver occupational capability and provide a sound platform from which to prepare for employment in a specific area. You will spend 1 hour 30 minutes per week for each Functional Skills and 3 hours per week for each GCSE if required, you will also attend 30 hours work experience.

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable. Students enrolling onto their first full Level 2 or Level 3 course or below who are aged between 19 and 23 may be able to enrol for free. Advanced Learning Loan to help with college fees on applicable course. Students won't have to pay anything back until the end of their course and are earning £27,295 per year. Household income isn't taken into account and there's no credit check. Eligibility is dependent on course, nationality, and age to meet the ESFA funding eligibility criteria.
