This course is suitable for those who have a real interest in Design and would like to progress their understanding and skills in Graphic Design. It's a 1 year course.
3 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above
You will study a range of topics which include:

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.</p.

Whilst on the Level 2 Graphic Design course you will be able to work on live briefs for clients, take part in workshops with guest lecturers and complete work experience.
During the course you will also be required to attend a number of day visits to museums and exhibitions.
In order to be able to study on this course you will need to buy a range of art equipment, sketchbooks and a portfolio to keep your work in. There is an Art shop within the Arts Centre that stocks the materials and equipment needed at competitive prices. We can provide at an additional cost the Art Kit Box which includes the essential range of equipment for you to start your course.
Upon completion of this level 2 course, you could progress on to BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma Art and Design Practice Graphic Communication.
