NCFE Certificate in Understanding Workplace Violence and Harassment (Level 2)

Overview

This qualification will focus on the study of possible causes of violence in the workplace and how to reduce the risk of workplace violence and harassment.  Thiis is a distance learning course where you work at your own pace within given timescales to complete the qualification at home with online support from your tutor.

 

The objectives of this qualification are to:

  •  Provide learners with an understanding of how organisational policies and procedures can contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Provide learners with an understanding of why workplace violence may occur, the possible causes and how the risk of workplace violence can be reduced.

  • Provide learners with an understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
The qualification is delivered using our online portal. You will need access to a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone to complete it.
Am I Ready?

There are no formal entry requirements however learners should be aged 19 or above at the start of the academic year to undertake this qualification.  Learners must be able to read and understand the learning resources and complete the written work with moderate assistance and will therefore benefit from having a reasonable understanding of reading and writing the English language. Course Details

YOU CAN START THIS COURSE AT ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE ACADEMIC YEAR BUT THERE IS AN EXPECTATION THAT YOU WILL COMPLETE WITHIN TWELVE WEEKS.  FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE WILL INCUR A £50 ADMINISTRATION CHARGE.

Units covered are as follows:

  • Unit 01 Contributing to a Positive and Safe Working Environment
  • Unit 02 Violence in the Workplace
  • Unit 03 Understanding Aggression, Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace
  • Unit 04 Understand Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace
Assessment

Assessment will take place by a portfolio of evidence comprising of a mixture of evidence such as written reports, written and oral questions and answers, and case studies.

Fees & Funding

Low Income / Unemployed Seeking Work

Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £20,319 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government. This does not affect your rights under Consumer Law.
