Green Skills Bootcamp - Smart Metering

Overview

This course is for those with experience in the electro-technical industries, and allows learners to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in smart metering.

Am I Ready?

Skills Bootcamps are open to all adults aged 19 or over, who are full-time or part-time employed, self-employed, unemployed (i.e., not in work), as well as adults returning to work after a break.

Course Details

This course is for those with experience in the electro-technical industries, and allows learners to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in smart metering.

The course comprises of the following topics:

  • Working practices in the energy and utilities sector
  • Working safely in the energy and utilities sector
  • Using and communicating technical information in the energy and utilities sector
  • Delivering customer service when working within the energy and utilities sector
  • Install and commission communication systems for smart meters
  • Install single phase meter and associated equipment
  • Change single phase meter and associated equipment.
Assessment

In order to successfully achieve this qualification a learner must fully meet all of the learning outcomes. This will be met by internal assessment work.

Your Next Steps

Learners may progress onto our full-time courses:  Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering - Dual Fuel, and Power.
