Digital Skills Bootcamp - Database Development (Level 4)

Overview

This course will guide you through the phases of database system development.

Am I Ready?

No prior attainment is required to enrol on the bootcamp. Skills Bootcamps are open to all adults aged 19 or over, who are full-time or part-time employed, self-employed, unemployed (i.e., not in work), as well as adults returning to work after a break.

What you will learn

  • Learn the major components of a database system
  • Understand how to find out what is really needed in a database development project
  • Learn the relational model of database development
  • Explore the importance of database security and integrity

  • Master the techniques to understand what your client organisation needs and how best to provide it
  • Open the door to new opportunities as a database developer.
Assessment

In order to successfully achieve this qualification a learner must fully meet all of the learning outcomes. This will be met by internal assessment work.

Your Next Steps

Learners may progress onto our full-time courses in Digital Skills: Information and Creative Technology (Level 2), IT Diploma or Extended Diploma (Level 3), or our new T-Level in Digital Business Services. We also have opportunities for apprenticeships in Digital Marketing, Digital Support, and IT Solutions.
