C&G T Level Technical Qualification Management and Administration (Level 3)

Overview

This qualification is for you if you are a 16-19-year-old learner, who wishes to work within the Management and Administration sector. The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the Management and Administration sector and you will cover topics such as:

  • Business Context
  • People
  • Quality Compliance
  • Project
  • Change Management
Am I Ready?

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths. Level 2 vocational qualification or equivalent in a related subject, e.g., business Basic IT skills including using Microsoft packages.

Course Details

The T Level programme include the following compulsory elements:

  • A Technical Qualification (TQ), which includes
  • Core theory, concepts and skills for an industry area
  • Specialist skills and knowledge for an occupation or career
  • An industry placement with an employer
  • A minimum standard in maths and English if learners have not already achieved them at the start of their T Levels
Assessment

Assessment methods Learners must complete:

Two externally set exams covering knowledge from the Management and Administration core unit. The exams provide sufficient sampling of the content and consist of a mixture of short answer questions, some of which will be structured, and extended response.

One employer-set project covering knowledge and skills from the Management and Administration core unit. The employer-set project will consist of a well-defined, real industry-style brief. The brief will be complex and non-routine, and will require the use of relevant maths, English and digital skills. The brief will provide a valid context for you to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the core content and their core skills to solve occupationally relevant situations and/or problems.

One occupational specialism. These assessments will feature a considerable practical element and are composed of a series of holistic practical tasks relating to the specialism at hand. They will take place over a period of approximately three-months.

Grading and Marking:

The Management and Administration core unit is graded overall A*–E plus ungraded (U). The occupational specialisms (components 301-303) are graded overall Distinction, Merit, Pass and Ungraded. Each occupational specialism achieved will receive a grade.

Fees & Funding

Sixteen / Eighteen

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.</p.

Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government.

Adult Learning Loan

Advanced Learning Loan to help with college fees on applicable course. Students won’t have to pay anything back until the end of their course and are earning £27,295 per year. Household income isn’t taken into account and there’s no credit check. Eligibility is dependent on course, nationality, and age to meet the ESFA funding eligibility criteria.

Your Next Steps

 

This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to work in the Management and Administration sector and prepares students to enter the sector through employment or as an Apprentice. Furthermore, the completion of this qualifications gives students the opportunity to progress onto higher education courses and training.
