This course in bricklyaing provides a learner the opportunity to progress from beginner to advanced level bricklaying. It provides recognition of the knowledge and skills needed to work in this area of the construction field.
There are no pre-requisites.
It allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Bricklaying.

This qualification will be achieved through a mixture of external question papers, written assignments and practical observations.
Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.

Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £25,750 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. In order to be able to study on this course you will need to purchase a kit which includes the essential range of equipment for you to start the course. A construction site uniform is also available to order and is mandatory. Both kit and uniform should be ordered in advance of starting the course. You will also need to wear steel toe capped boots when entering all areas within the construction site.
