The level 1 course is a basic introduction to restaurant operations and food preparation within the Apple Tree restaurant. This course is suitable for you if you have studied catering at school or have a passion and interest for cooking at home.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This qualification builds on the skills and knowledge and prepares candidates for employment or further study. You will cover a range of topics during this course including:
Each unit is assessed by a combination of externally set assignments and online multiple choice tests. Craft units are assessed by a series of practical assessments covering the range of different commodities.
Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.</p.
