Diplomas in plastering provide a learner the opportunity to progress from beginner to advanced level plastering. It provides recognition of the knowledge and skills needed to work in this area of the construction field.
There are no formal requirements for this course.
This course allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in plastering. You will learn how to:
• Prepare background surfaces and mix plastering materials.
• Applying scratch coats to internal backgrounds.
• Fixing sheet materials.
• Applying floating coats to wall.
• Applying setting coats to wall.
Synoptic practical tasks, a series of knowledge questions for each unit and a multi - choice online end test.
Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.</p.

Tools and materials are supplied by the College. Safety footwear is required for all workshop sessions. Study materials are required for all theory sessions. Department polo shirts are to be worn at all times.
