C&G 4411-11 Certificate for Introduction to Customer Service (Level 1)

Overview

This Level 1 distance learning programme is focused on providing the learner with underpinning knowledge so introducing them to working within a customer focused environment. It is suitable for students who may be seeking employment in the customer service industry or those already in the workplace who lack recognised qualifications. 

Access to a laptop/technology is required to complete this course and submit the evidence electronically although students can complete paper copies of the workbooks if this is not accessible to them.

Am I Ready?

There are no formal entry requirements however learners should be aged 19 or above at the start of the academic year to undertake this qualification.  Learners must be able to read and understand the learning resources and complete the written work with moderate assistance and will therefore benefit from having a reasonable understanding of reading and writing the English language. Course Details

YOU CAN START THIS COURSE AT ANY TIME THROUGHOUT THE ACADEMIC YEAR BUT THERE IS AN EXPECTATION THAT YOU WILL COMPLETE WITHIN TWELVE WEEKS.  FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE WILL INCUR A £50 ADMINISTRATION CHARGE.

This Level 1 distance learning programme covers the basic elements of how to deliver an excellent customer service experience and will equip the student with the necessary skills to work in and support customer service delivery. There are 6 workbooks to complete.  This qualification is knowledge based and will suit you if you have limited or no previous experience in Customer Service but are looking to develop your skills in this industry. The course is delivered over an 12 week period and the student will be expected to complete 6 workbooks to a satisfactory standard in their own time. Additional tutor support is provided for the duration of the course via email, telephone, test message and post.

Assessment

Completion of 6 workbooks that are assessed internally and are externally moderated by the awarding body.

Fees & Funding

Low Income / Unemployed Seeking Work

Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £20,319 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government. This does not affect your rights under Consumer Law.
