BTEC National Foundation Diploma Animal Management (Full Level 3)


This course will give you a broad base of experience to prepare you for work in the industry or for progression to Higher Education if you achieve the required point profile.

4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above - to include English Language, maths and science.

Fees & Funding

Sixteen / Eighteen

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.</p.

Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government.

Level 2 / Level 3

Students enrolling onto their first full Level 2 or Level 3 course or below who are aged between 19 and 23 may be able to enrol for free. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Grantham College reserves the right to offer a substitute course if the qualification advertised is not funded by the government. This does not affect your rights under Consumer Law.

Adult Learning Loan

Advanced Learning Loan to help with college fees on applicable course. Students won’t have to pay anything back until the end of their course and are earning £27,295 per year. Household income isn’t taken into account and there’s no credit check. Eligibility is dependent on course, nationality, and age to meet the ESFA funding eligibility criteria.

Additional Information

Career opportunities within the animal industry on successful completion of the Diploma may include: Kennel/cattery supervisor, Assistant dog groomer, rescue centre supervisor, wildlife rehabilitation officer.

Your Next Steps

Students generally progress onto the Extended Diploma in Animal Management with the potential to progress to a Higher Education course, however direct entry to full time employment or an animal based apprenticeship are also possible career paths.
