Overview

This qualification is for learners who want to start a career in animal care. It is designed for post-16 learners and can be taken as part of a wider study programme. It is an ideal qualification for learners intending to progress directly to employment in animal care, or to an animal care Apprenticeship

Fees & Funding

Sixteen / Eighteen

Full Time Further Education courses are free to school leavers and those who are under 19 on 31 August of the year they start their course. Exam resit fees may apply as applicable.</p.

Level 2 / Level 3

Students enrolling onto their first full Level 2 or Level 3 course or below who are aged between 19 and 23 may be able to enrol for free. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Low Income / Unemployed Seeking Work

Students that are unemployed and currently seeking work, or on a low income of up to £20,319 per annum may be able to enrol to a course at Level 2 or below free of charge. This is a government initiative and the course offer is subject to change. Your Next Steps

Upon completion students are eligible for progression into employment at trainee level, entry onto an animal care apprenticeship at another setting
